Tips before buying Xbox 360

At siguro dapat mayroon din nito for the Xbox 360.
So gurus of Xbox 360...

I guess the 1st would be to ensure its a FALCON unit (or maybe the Jhaspere when it comes out.) tama ba spelling?
To the experts, post naman po on how to determine a Falcon unit. Wag po sana "Google is your friend" ang sagot.

i would have to agree on some aspect of this "hirit" .. wag lang spoonfeeding ..     
advise ko lang sa ibang members na expert na sa larangan ng xbox360 or PS3 for that matter is to lead us novice to the right path ..

  great. tips that i can give you before buying xbox 360 console is. check the console serial number at the back below the bar code composed of 12 digits and look for the last 4 example 123456781007 = 10/07 (October 2007). mas ok yung latest para iwas common issues. 3 version kasi iyan boss. zephyr, falcon and jasper. different lang chipset nila or NM. zypher mayroon lang HDMI port at upgraded or improved heatseek. falcon naman same pa rin gaya ng falcon however niliitan and nm cpu to 65nm from i think 90nm. then jasper (based on rumors) this august 08 mas papaliitin yung mga chips para less heat and iwas 3 red lights

Well, based on http://www.xbox-scene.com, jasper is out in the wild.

NAND flash memory is now 256MB, and is usable for saved games. 65nm cpu and gpu. Well, hopefully they got the hardware right this time. Add to this the NXE's HDD installation, should mean less heat, and less heat related disasters like the 3RL.
