How often do you Upgrade your rig?

for me: nag uupgrade ako if my pc cant run the latest games and if I feel sluggish na siya!

Depends sa hinihingi nang targeted game ko. Pero kung minsan eh once a year; video card, harddisk at memory lang. Sa processor at motherboard siguro every 2-3 years.

I assemble the best of the best then I keep it for like 2-3 years then assemble a new one again. I find it much more "cheaper"

console gamer kasi ako e. i gave up on pc gaming na dahil magastos talaga. pero mukhang babalik dahil sa starcraft at diablo 3

Before I used to upgrade like nobody's business, but starting like '06 I've made it a point to keep a 2-year upgrade cycle, but to specific, here's the breakdown by parts:

CPU/Mobo/RAM: 2yrs
VC: 18mos-2yrs
Casing/PSU: 2yrs+
HDD/ODD: Whenever me good deal sa price (e.g. P3300 for a 400gb sata, like recently )
Soundcard/Misc stuff: same with hdd/odd
Speakers: I've been rocking my Z680s for 4-5yrs na , so no plans of upgrading. I did complemented it with my Audio-Technica ATH-ES7 cans 2-3months ago.

So that's my general guidelines, konting control lang sa gigil, alam naman nating medyo mahirap ang pera these days, BUT if you have the cash, and know what you're buying, go ahead and splurge

usually 1-2 years. but usually i just buy a new part and sell the old one so it wont be much of a burden

matagal tagal naman.  8 to 12 months 
pahamak itong 4870x2 eh, wala pang 10 months yun 3870x2 ko, mapapalitan agad...

basta mura sa bulsa mga items, siguro every year, pero paonti onting upgrade lang ... ang reason ko eh " For future proof naman"

BwahaHAHAH. ako nga eh, pc ko, nung 2004 pa. hehehe. di ko pa nauupgrade. . . ay, naupgrade ko pala lastmonth, naging 512mb na ang ram. hehehe.

Ok lang yan yosemiti, hangga't nalalaro mo pa ang favorite games mo sa PC mo tuloy tuloy lang. Sa games din ako nag dedepende kung ready na ba ako mag upgrade nang PC ulit.
